Slí Eile - Positive Behavioral Support
Aim
The program’s aim is to address issues around negative behaviors, anger management, poor attitude to authority and poor choices that are affecting a student's learning and/or the learning of others in the classroom. This is achieved through targeted interventions, which are designed to help the student learn new ways to manage their own behavior.
Why a student might be referred to the Positive Behavioral Support team?
There are many reasons why a student might be referred to Slí Eile, but they will all be in relation to behaviors stopping a student engaging in their learning. A student will be referred by their Year Head as part of our pastoral support process, when a pattern of negative behaviors is seen to be stopping the student from learning.
Slí Eile Programmes
Fresh Start (September/October):
To positively support students that in the previous academic year struggled to maintain consistent learning behaviour within the classroom. In other words, give them a Fresh Start.
