Good afternoon parents,

We would like to update you with information regarding the latest advice and guidance received from the Department of Education this morning.

As per the information received from the Department;

“developing schools that do not have Leaving Certificate students may remain open in the week of 31 May to 4 June.”

We are a developing school and as a result of this, we are rescheduling the 5^th year end of Semester 3 assessments. The assessments will now take place between Thursday 27^th May and Friday 4^th June inclusive. This is to facilitate maximising tuition time for our 5^th year students, as has already been done with other year groups as an in class assessment model was used to maximise tuition time for those year groups. However, it is important that 5^th years complete formal assessments, should the data be required for an accredited grades process next year.

All other year groups will finish as scheduled;

• TY students will finish at the end of school on Thursday 27^th
• 1^st/2^nd and 3^rd years will finish after normal scheduled classes at 11.13am on Friday 28^th

The rescheduled 5^th year exam timetable will be e mailed to 5^th year parents on Monday 17^th May, and will be shared with students on schoology on Monday also.
